Technological solutions for sustainable mobility

Net4things is a key player in this ecosystem, thanks to its Internet of Things (IoT), connectivity and data processing solutions, which enable companies and users to get relevant, real-time information from their vehicles and progress toward more sustainable, safe, productive and efficient mobility. One of the standout services in its range is its Connected Car. This service brings connectivity to cars in order to gather data on the vehicle’s location in real time, categorise routes, calculate distance travelled and average speed, and also includes an assistance system for notifying the emergency services in the event of a collision, sudden swerve or accident to ensure both driver and vehicle safety. In the event of an accident, a crash report is generated with the aim of providing public entities such as the police or health services with clear information on what happened before, during and after the occurrence.

The Fleet Management solution has marched ahead in step with the pandemic and e-commerce. Companies need to have complete control over their fleet of vehicles and know where their cars are at all times in order to operate efficiently and meet the needs of their clients. Using this service, companies can monitor vehicles and their movements, identify breakdowns in real time and determine their maximum speed in line with air pollution limits or entry into low emission zones. Alongside this, the company has developed their Data Marketing solution for the ultrasegmentation of marketing campaigns for user-targeted mobility services.

Among the major connected mobility projects that Net4things has developed is Movistar Car, devised for the company Telefónica. A dongle connected to the car’s OBD port collects all the information on the vehicle and the driver’s behaviour, reports cases of speeding and, in the event of a collision, notifies the emergency services and the owner. Likewise, the Drivus product for Caser insurance, in partnership with Renault, RCI Bank and Masmovil, enables connectivity with policyholders’ cars to facilitate processes and offers solutions for incidents and other needs.
